Real Tennis Fantasy League - British Open recap
Which players conquered Queen's in the Fantasy League?
Here’s your round-up of the Real Tennis Fantasy League following Round 3 of the 2025/26 season — the British Open from Queen’s Club.
News
This year’s British Open was quite the feast of tennis; an enormous qualifying draw, some big upsets, the return of the Women’s British Open tournament to Queen’s Club, some new doubles pairings as well. Will Flynn and Henry Henman will take plaudits for their efforts in qualifying and the Main Draw. It was some familiar names in the final matches though; Lumley, Howell, Fahey. John Lumley put on a superb display to win the Main Draw singles final against Nicky Howell. The doubles draw went the distance with John Lumley and Vaughan Hamilton taking the title. And in the Women’s Draw Claire Fahey extends her winning record, and partnering with Tara Lumley in the doubles competition as well.
Points awarded
Quite frankly, there were points everywhere at Queen’s. Fully 23 of the 37 players benefited from the 2% pick bonus (awarded where fewer than 2% of all picks went to that player). There were 15 Big Win matches across the singles, doubles and qualifying.

MarcSimpson271 takes the MVP with a Lumley, Fahey and Taylor-Matthews squad, using his tournament boost bonus as well. It’s quite tight at the top though, with our top six players all within 30 points of each other. On average, players scored 60 points for their squads in Round 3.
Tournament Boosts
Five players chose to use their Tournament Boosts for the British Open; most of whom appear among the top scorers for Round 3. Cone is the highest ranking player not to use his Tournament Boost.
Budgets
Most players’ budgets are looking healthy after three rounds, albeit one player has already spent over £350m on their squad picks!
Looking ahead
Round 4 takes us to Melbourne and the Australian Open, from the 5th January 2026. The draw should come out around the 15th December (livestreamed through the RMTC YouTube channel). realtennisnews.com will have a full write-up of the draws. The window for squad selections opens on Monday 15th December and closes on Monday 5th January 2026, time TBC.
And remember:
You can earn Big Win Bonuses for matches in the Qualifying Draw.
You do not have to fill your squad of three players if you don’t want to.
You can choose the same player twice (but not all three times).
Leaving all your squad selections blank will mean the auto-pick algorithms will come after you!
If you don’t want the auto-picks to choose a squad for you, be sure to “Skip Round”.
